Thank you for stopping by my corner of the web! Currently, this site is in its early stages, focusing on establishing a solid foundation. While there's not a lot of content just yet, I'm excited about the journey of bringing my ideas to life here. This website is a dynamic canvas where I will continue to evolve and expand upon my interests and projects.
If you're visiting after clicking on the link in my Discord bio, a special hello to you! It's always great to connect with fellow enthusiasts or curious minds.
The Purpose of This Website
This online space is essentially a digital reflection of who I am, bringing together various facets of my life, interests, and inspirations. Whether it's sharing my hobbies, documenting social media endeavors, or spotlighting other intriguing aspects, this site is a personal archive and showcase.
- All content on this site is proudly hand-crafted by me, right down to the smallest icons, art pieces, and assets. The aim is to keep the creative essence authentic, though I sometimes link out to external references that inspire me.
-
I challenge myself to keep the website's data footprint under 10 megabytes. Even though the hosting plan offers 1024 megabytes (1GB) of space, I've set this limitation to:
- Uphold a minimalist and timeless web design, reminiscent of the early, simpler web.
- Use low-resolution imagery and assets to encourage thoughtful design choices that prioritize content over decoration.
- Ensure the site remains easily maintainable for a seamless visitor experience.
By adhering to these self-imposed constraints, I hope to nurture a space that grows organically, one thoughtful addition at a time, much like what was experienced during the nostalgic days of Geocities.
Tools of the Trade
The creation of this website is steeped in simplicity and tradition. Initially, I used Neocities' built-in editor for its convenience in deployment and real-time testing. However, I've moved to using Visual Studio Code with Git integration.
In designing my assets, I embrace an old-school ethos by using classic paint tools, harkening back to the creative spirit of the early 2000s. This creative limitation not only blends nostalgia with craftsmanship but also enhances my appreciation for digital artistry techniques from that era.
In essence, this website will serve as both a playground for experimentation and a social outlet, where I can share insights, connect with like-minded individuals, and continually learn and grow. I hope you'll find something here that intrigues or inspires you as you explore!
